Report from Washington – Restoring Honor Rally

Things are really crazy on the ground here in DC…in an exciting and good way.

We believe the turnout for this rally tomorrow is going to ASTOUND the country.  The city is just PACKED to the brim with people already, today.

*Short video showing crowd*

Seeing is believing.  Huge crowd.  Totally peaceful.  My fellow Americans.  Wishing I could have been there.

*Nice montage by Katie Pavlich*

We could begin to restore honor by the mainstream media and others telling the truth – just tell the truth.

An eye witness account:

Just got home from the rally. It was incredible. I was at the 9/12 event and incredibly, this was even bigger. It was packed so solid from the Lincoln Memorial to the WWII Memorial (~ 3/4 mile?) that you could barely cross the mall to get to the port-a-potties. From the WWII Memorial to the Washington Monument (Another 1/4 mile?) it was packed also, but not quite as dense.

Just as with all the other American patriot rallies, I saw no problems—and no garbage left behind. Lots of friendly faces.

The most memorable moment: Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing the Star Spangled Banner with a million others. Not many dry eyes—incredibly moving and a feeling I will never forget.

Huge crowd. I think he said he was going to document the numbers and not the mainstream low ball the attendance.

Did you see this hit piece? But take a look at the comments. They closed the comments and will probably take this article down. It was on front page of Yahoo this morning and it was removed.

How Sharpton and the rest can bash this event as racist is beyond me…

It’s disgraceful that even Fox isn’t carrying any of it – even just the size of the crowds is newsworthy.

There is nothing to criticize. Unfortunately, if there’s nothing, the progressives and their media will make something up. But this was proof positive there is no violence. You have to see a liberal event for that.

I have to say after watching Palin on Saturday that I could easily vote for her for anything!

  10. They raised 5 million dollars for the children of our fallen troops. That’s incredible in the middle of one of our worse economies people still care – it’s not getting pointed out. Americans Care.

The MSM hates the middle class. Listening to Dr King’s niece reminded me of what I was taught – stop the segregation. Al Sharpton was the one segregating not Glenn Beck.

No one pointed out the lack of diversity in Al Sharpton’s attendance. If Glenn Beck hadn’t picked the 28th of August, would the MSM even mark the anniversary of Dr King’s I have a dream speech?

There might have been a passing blurb but Glenn Beck put it back out in front of people.

CNN took the opportunity to bash Republicans on their civil rights record…so they looked at the Rally as JUST a Republican Rally – people in the MSM are brain dead. How many times did Glenn Beck say this isn’t a political rally? How many times has he said, he has the same problems with big spending Republicans?

CNN should just turn out the lights, and lock the door behind them.

  11. Why isn’t this getting more coverage? What a positive good news story that came out of the 8/28 Rally. Are Democrats so dumb they don’t get that aligning themselves with Americas detractors gets them a place in the unemployment line?

That’s amazing, KJ. Not one peep. I think the Al Sharpton crowd and the biased media are looking like bitter losers with closed minds and closed hearts.

    Here’s from KJ’s link above:

“”Thank you to all those that attended 8/28
both in person and online —
With your support and help we were able to raise more than $5-million dollars for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
If you would like to donate, you can do so online here.””

I tuned into Geraldo Sat night to hear his spin because he’s such a lib. Geraldo gave the Rally glowing reviews, not one bad word except that the Rally was too PC. Sharpton and Dr. King were guests and she put Sharpie in his place…nobody was buying his claim Glenn is a race baiter.

My girlfriend has her pictures up on facebook (Bella – can you see my friend Tara’s photos?- she and 3 of her kids were setting up at 5 am and the crowds were already massive.

I don’t know how that all works but the Restoring Honor page has tons of photos up. The timing of the Rally was perfect to get me motivated heading up to NOV – the Dems are after Joe Wilson’s seat here in SC. I don’t think they have a prayer but I’m going to be active around here, not sitting back on this one. I got so disgusted after the healthcare passed that I started tuning things out which is NOT GOOD!
