Remembering the Tucson Massacre

Legal Insurrection has a great post in memory of the victims and the anniversary of the Arizona Massacre.  He has posted several videos, including the 911 calls, and a 60 minutes documentary on the shooting.

For me, I will never forget the speed with which the corrupt and biased media began their vicious attacks on Sarah Palin and talk radio as somehow causing the actions of one madman, who it later proved out had, if anything, left wing political leanings and never at any time had anything at all to connect him with any conservative politics whatsoever.

I was watching as this false political narrative unfolded in the leftwing media with a speed that it almost had to be pre-planned somehow.

The whole thing culminated in the sickening political rally called a memorial service that was conducted in Tucson.

See previous post where an unnamed democrat said in the Politico that “it should be pinned on the tea party” and how Sean Penn of the obama administration had said earlier that obama needed “an Oklahoma City moment” to “reconnect with the people.”  https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/is-arizona-massacre-obamas-oklahoma-city-moment/

A lot of the footage of the media coverages has been scrubbed from the internet, evidence that they knew what they were doing.

In fact, the scrubbing of the internet began almost immediately, but a few screen shots remain due to the swift action of some who saw it coming, that proves it was the left that had actually targeted Gabrielle Giffords for political destruction, and by name up close and personal, because even though she is a democrat was not liberal enough for them.  (They are always doing what they accuse others of).

Professor Jacobson today writes as follows:

Also remembered will be the reaction from the left-blogosphere and mainstream media, which immediately and falsely attempted to connect Sarah Palin to the shootings.  My post that day, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, included ongoing news updates and copies of Tweets by left-wing bloggers.

…..

By the next day, it was a full blown media frenzy claiming Loughner was “right-wing” and again connecting Palin to the shooting, as detailed in my post, Two Sicknesses On Display in Arizona.

The media was in full attack mode on Palin, demanding that she speak out sooner than she did, and then when she did speak out about the shootings, and used the term “blood libel,” it set off even more vigorous attacks on her.

Some on the right, such as David Frum, also used the shooting as an excuse to go after Palin.  Here are my posts on the “blood libel” issue:

I summed up my feelings in the post We Just Witnessed The Media’s Test Run To Re-Elect Barack Obama, which was read on air in full by Rush Limbaugh.

The attempt to politicize the shooting in many ways overwhelmed the memory of the victims.  And that was another tragedy.

Further investigation revealed the Loughner lived in a non-political paranoid delusional world, and to the extent he ever expressed political leanings, they were not “right-wing.”  Loughner eventually would be declared mentally incompetent to stand trial, and remains in psychiatric custody.

The whole thing is a case study in a media hit job, and in the end, the American people did not believe them. https://bellalu0.wordpress.com/2011/01/12/new-cbs-poll-most-americans-dont-believe-the-media-lies/

They tried hard though, they tried really hard.   Anybody who wants a good look at how the media, supposed to be a watchdog, is actually a left wing propoganda machine, just follow this one incident.  It goes far further than mere bias.

And it continues as is evidenced by the ABC debate last night.
