Shuster compares Obama’s “indoctrination” of little school children to Bush reading My Pet Goat

Sounds like a joke, doesn’t it, but he was serious – which is the joke, I guess.

This is the depths to which David Shuster (MSNBC) is willing to go in order to justify anything this administration does or says.  He’s talking here about the indoctrination implied in asking school children to write essays on what they want to do to help Obama and to memorize quotes from Obama.  They should be thinking about what they could do for their country – not Obama.  But never the less…..

Here is an exchange between Shuster and Michael Leahy:

SHUSTER: Mike, I’m going to give you one more chance. I’m going to try one more time with a yes-or-no. Was it a subversive threat when George W. Bush read “My Pet Goat” on 9/11, which essentially might have encouraged kids to go out and get a pet goat even though in Florida, where he was giving the speech, it’s against the law to have a goat unless you’re on a farm, so was the president trying to encourage kids to subvert the law when he did that?

LEAHY: David, you are so in the tank for Barack Obama, you should be on the White House communication staff, not at MSNBC.

Yep. I have a feeling he’s already on the payroll, but if he went to the WH then he wouldn’t be able to broadcast his drivel for an hour every day.

See Newsbusters for audio and video of this example of what MSNBC passes off as “news” every day.

But more on the children:

When is it wrong for a President -don’t care who that might be or have been- to talk to the youth of America to try and convince them that they should stay in school and strive to better themselves through education? America scores the lowest among leading countries when it comes to education. Japan kicks our butts big time and most of the people that go to college in India have higher degrees, they don’t stop at 4 years of college but gets Master’s and Doctorate degrees. This president has caused more controversy than any other president in our history. How much of this is due to him being the first African American President? How much do you want to bet that if Hilary Clinton had won, she would be facing a lot of the same sort of things because she would have been the first Woman President? This country is just too afraid of anything beyond the “status quo” of the good old boys white older men’s club. America is made up of diverse cultures, most of which are not native to this soil, but yet we have not yet learned this lesson well enough to appreciate it. This brings us well behind countries such as Canada, Britain, and most European nations. We need to grow up.

    • I truly agree with Delaney55. All these critics in regards to Obama going to
different to schools in regards to education and being accused for indoctrinations,
telling kids wrong information. If there is anyone like myself monitors America
news medias and believe what they actually say about issues like this one truly do not know or understand anything. Example. When former presidents did the exact thing that Obama had done in a matter of months, they had no problems with that, none, none at all. I’m a 57 year old Black American and was born in one of what we sometimes calls the Confederates states, North Carolina but reside today in a New England state. All my life I have experienced all soughts of
actions regarding RACISM here in America. It is pitiful how America act in regards to Black American. I always thought a future suppose to be better, not worse. From what I see today America is never going to be the America that it needs to be. Another I remembered decades ago whereas no other country on this earth will lilft one finger at us. Now they will come over here and spit on us and dare us to do something about it. That’s because America is not actually united for what it is claimed to be. You’re right, American needs to grow up and stop whining about nothing, acting just like bullies.

Just a reminder: I always and forever will only protest or criticize his white half. And the Our Dear Leader part.

I don’t believe he is a woman, but then we don’t actually know. He could have been born a woman and maybe had a sex change operation. That might be some change we could believe in. But he and God don’t have a birth certificate so we will never know. lol.

That way he could cover it all – white man, black man, white woman, black woman, doctor, lawyer, preacher, car salesman, banker, teacher, insurance salesman, and sanitation expert (always wash your hands and don’t sneeze on anybody).

But in all seriousness, I think it’s fine for Obama to speak to the children. One Time. But he should not be promoting himself, but the country. Presidents come and presidents go. It’s the Office, not the person.

    • BellaluO!
First of all why are you putting God into this issue? Secondly what are you; a male or a female? As being a BIRTHER which I notice instantly what you’re getting at. Just like yourself and others like you manifest RACISM. Do yourself a favor, go and get a better education. That’s if you have any at all.

        Charles!

It was a joke. But then God is in everything, isn’t He? The other joke is that at least God doesn’t think he’s Obama. Unlike the other way around.

As I said, I am only criticizing Obama’s white half. 🙂 But hey you have come to the wrong place to start with the racism junk.

And remember this, don’t be calling me too many names. If you want to discuss something fine, but personal insults, nah.

        …..
you said, “I always thought a future suppose to be better, not worse. From what I see today America is never going to be the America that it needs to be….” Did you say something about others being negative?

Did you see this? I’m interested in saving America, not destroying it.

And by the way where is that birth certificate? (that, too, is a joke, Charles.) LOL

Bella, have you read this? Brilliant…David Shuster isn’t even worthy of my time or energy, he’s such a putz.

“”When ordinary citizens understand they are being played for fools, they bristle.””

We tried to tell ’em last year, didn’t we?

    Who needs to grow up?

    • America has not grew up all these centuries, what do you expect now. Delaney is correct. Eighty percent of the American people act just like children when they
suppose to be adults in age whines about non-sense.

  5. Ms. M

when are women going to break that glass ceiling? Nothing different with this past election cycle, no menstral in it hehehe…another MAN who is NOT black, methinks oreo? I’m not sure he really cares for the poor, the worker, blacks, hispanics….just bought votes that according to his admission they paid for with “small” donations….let’s see if we just apply that same philosophy to fixing the MESS this country is in…small increments at a time in the areas that need to be fixed, NOT BILLIONS UPON TRILLIONS to re-invent free trade & capital….for failed experiments in govn’ts, ie socialism, communism, marxism, facism….AUDIT THE FED!

  6. Mel

”When ordinary citizens understand they are being played for fools, they bristle.””

We tried to tell ‘em last year, didn’t we?

Yes, and they wouldn’t listen. I’m not surprised by any of this…BO’s exactly the man I believed him to be judging by the cast of characters he surrounded himself w/ his entire adult life.

  7. Random drug testing….just sayin 🙂

Don’t take the quote out of context. Americans that still can’t accept interracial marriages, same sex unions or anyone that doesn’t conform to their narrow views of what is right or “acceptable” let alone someone or something different need to grow up and get with it as the world around us has changed and to stay ahead we need to change with it.

As to the birth certificate issue – let it die people. Obama would not have been in the running let alone be president if his credentials were not gone over with a fine tooth comb prior to the election. This is a dead horse that makes anyone still beating it look like bad losers. He is President – get over it and get used to it just like I would have had to if McCain had won and that dip*hit quitter from Alaska had been elected VP. I wouldn’t have cared for it one bit but I doubt I would be grousing as much as those individuals so afraid of Obama are doing and I think Palin is much, much more scary.

  9. Ms. M

55, entitled to think what you may, but I take words like TRANSPARENCY literally….so in keeping with that campaign promise of a more transparent administration, jost produce the BIRTH CERTIFICATE….what’s the BIG deal in that? ain’t a sore loser, didn’t vote for either of the “two”…..

  10. Ms. M

& 55 the president REPRESENTS ALL CITIZENS, even the doubters, the “sore losers”, & Independents….so again some TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTIBILITY, not only would be nice, it would be the RESPONSIBLE thing to do! otherwise, imo. looks like he is hiding something…..

What we need is ANOTHER SPEECH. Oh, that’s right, one is coming up. Some people are so easily led.

Get the communists and eugenicists out of the white house.

  12. bellalu0

We have birthers, and we have deathers, and we have a communist Truther in the Obama administration.

Even democrat apologist Bob Beckel says Jones has to go.

  13. Bella,

Senator Byrd from West Virginia told Obama from the beginning, the Czars all of them have to go, that Obama doesn’t get to circumvent the government or the Constitution. These people are so green, in good times people might put up with the amateurism but we have record debt and unemployment. It looks like the international community figured out, there is nothing to worry about with Obama in the white house, they can do whatever they want and they are.

  14. Mel

Did I just hear Obama has planned a rally at 1 of his own? Unbelievable. The best thing he could do is embrace those in DC today.

  15. BellaluO!

Your name says it all. Your negative comments does ring a bell.

Charles, if you think America is so bad, you know you can live in another countrhy if you want to. You do know that, right?
