The mask is really slipping

“”It is now abundantly clear that the image of Barack Obama sold to the American electorate was tightly edited, air-brushed, and exaggerated. He has worn a series of masks — eloquent orator, brilliant scholar, centrist, and literary sensation.” [Thomas Lifson]

The new book by Chris Andersen called “Portrait of an American Marriage” about the Obama marriage didn’t seem to be anything I would be interested in.  I don’t find their marriage very interesting, but there seems to be some other things in the book that I do find compelling.

The American Thinker has something written today that Dreams of My Father was produced, basically, by a ghostwriter – namely Bill Ayers. I read a little something about this before the election, but it was all covered up. It’s getting a little bit harder for the “fringe” press and media to provide cover.

Now that kids and private citizens are doing the job of investigative reporters, the New York Times has hired someone to read conservative blogs and listen to conservative radio to try to make sure they are not blind-sided as they were with the ACORN story and the Van Jones story. I thought that was what Media Matters was for.  Oh, that’s right, they don’t tell the truth.  Pretty funny. In fact, hilarious.  They won’t release the name of said person. Undercover, I guess.  :)

The mask has just about slipped completely off, but who does it reveal? That is the question. I’m afraid to know.

But Thomas Lifson’s article begins:

It is now abundantly clear that the image of Barack Obama sold to the American electorate was tightly edited, air-brushed, and exaggerated. He has worn a series of masks — eloquent orator, brilliant scholar, centrist, and literary sensation. All of these masks are coming off as he copes with a job for which image will not suffice.  For instance, hiding behind the eloquent orator mask is a guy who says “uhh” a lot when he is winging it, and who makes lots of factual and grammatical mistakes.

Now, thanks to Jack Cashill, the literary mask has been removed. Obama is a literary pretender. Case closed. The evidence is overwhelming that Bill Ayers ghost-wrote Dreams from my Father, the book which established Obama’s pose as a brilliant writer (and therefore a fine mind, in the estimation of many).

But according to Jack Cashill of the American Thinker Obama may not be able to take too much credit for the book:

Cashill said:

Obama boasted in Virginia last year, “I’ve written two books,” he told a crowd of students and teachers. “I actually wrote them myself.”

The media should be able to protect his reputation among the willfully blind but don’t expect to hear Obama make comparable boasts in the near future.

I read last year that Ayers had a hand in writing BO’s book. I wouldn’t spend a cent on it myself but have heard excerpts here and there. My personal fav was his rant against whites:

Bella, do you ever listen to Glenn’s radio show? It’s great – he streams it on his website I believe.

    • bellalu0

Mel, I haven’t listened to it but I think I’ll see if I can find it.

Yesterday I was trying to listen to abc77 and it kept going to buffering so I gave up after a while of that. Probably my computer.

  3. Bella

Thinks for the Sam and Dave Link, I may use it in a post :) I love Sam Cooke. I don’t know what is going on with the rest of the country, but Black and White relations have been doing fine among many Americans for a very long time.

  4. Mel

Glenn just said he didn’t realize we elected the President of Chicago’s Chamber of Commerce! The Big O’s (Obama & Oprah) heading out to win the Olympics..gotta line the pockets of his bffs in Chicago.

  5. Mel

Ms. M. Ron Paul was on w/ Glenn this morning. Good man

  6. Ms. M

you know, I still don’t get why everybody fell for all the hype in the first place….sound bites, I didn’t hear anything particularly profound & I certainly didn’t hear any SOLUTIONS….it is like the majority of voters question nothing & with the position they have been put in, you would think they would question EVERYTHING…..but you know I do believe the slumbering giant has been awaken & I HOPE this 5th Avenue approach to selling candidates has become passe….I am still hopeful that those articulate teabagging women & some of these young persons will rise to the top & figure out how to take this country back from the elite few…..

Mel, in my opinion, there is not anything to not like about Ron Paul, he is a patriot, loves his country, has never voted for a tax increase, & wants the Constitution to be the rule of the land for everybody & everything…..like his kid too, Rafe, running for Congress in Kentucky….on my to do list, check to Rafe Paul campaign…..

I kept hearing yesterday the rason why Obama has not talked to McCrystal but one time was that “there’s a chain of command.” I thought to myself, then doesn’t he have someone under him, maybe an olympics czar, who can take that trip besides him?

Another thing, I thought of yesterday was that it does not take a gun to kill someone – you can always use a large board or railroad tie. There’s always a way to kill if you want to bad enough, huh?

I heard someone mention in relation to that scene was that we are witnessing what humans are like without the restraint of a civilized soiety. Or something like that.

  8. Ms. M

Bella, doesn’t American Thinker got some great writers? great site!

  9. Ms. M

maybe he isn’t talking to McCrystal cause he doesn’t know what to say? boy the pundits were on his case about him making a case for the Olympics in broke Chicago….all the thugs will get a piece of that action they pretty much stated…..lets see some of the words used were, graft, corruption, kickback…..& that there better not be any bailouts to pay for it…..

  10. Ms. M

did any of you Iho’s ever see “Black/White”? I guess it was a series on Fox…but I borrowed it from the library & watched it….about two families of three, one black, one white, who live together for 6 weeks & in public trade races, are professionally made up to become black/white….a social experiment to delve into what it is like to be black or white….very interesting….Bruno, I thought was exceptional, due to the fact his belief was racial barriers exist because of attitude…..sound familiar?

  11. Col Jessup -Jack Nicholson explains chain of command to Tom Cruise and Demi Moore. I really miss Larry Kenney I loved his Nicholson impression. When you watch this Nicholson is explaining he is going to have to wait till a woman is elected President before a woman is his superior……hmm a Few Good Men. We sure could use some in Obama’s administration. Odd coincidence Cruises character is a Harvard Law Graduate.

    • bellalu0

I love it. That is so illustrative of what we have. A Harvard graduate without a clue.

And does she remind you of Candy Crowley or Andrea Mitchell? Her manner reminds me of Judith Miller.

Here’s a clip from Glenn Beck show last night. (He was great) He has really nailed the hypocrisy – especailly comparing the coverage of the washington 9/12 march to some of the protest at the G12. Also recounts his appearance in seattle – 40 protesters outside and the 7000 completely respectful people who came to hear him speak on the inside.

    (See video Below)

As he said, “they don’t know what they’re up against.”

“The truth will set you free”

  13. bellalu0

  14. Bella I blogged about it in Democrats Buffalo Jump :) I said how will the mainstream media portray the anarchist? Obama spoke at the G20 so all these people who protested must have been racist that is how the Progressives see racist right if you protest the President his policy or speeches your a racist….but that isn’t the way the anarchist were depicted. I don’t remember any politicians referring them at all deafening silence.

There were not as many protesters as usual so what faction of the previous G20 Protest are bought and paid for by the Progressives – through the communist party.

  15. Mel

I miss Larry Kenney too – another reason to dislike Al Sharpton and the rest of the pc-sick hypocrites.

John McCain said he’d be talking to the General often, even with the chain of command in place. Obama is a lightweight, must like Sarkozy says.

  16. Mel

Here is the clip on what Sarkozy said about Obama on Greta.

  17. Everyone,

Check out Chickaboomers latest on Imus.

Alan Grayson: “If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: die quickly,” he said. “That’s right. The Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick.”

Name of the father the son and the holy ghost.

who do we want in a pine box the most? :)

  19. Mel

We want you to die if we don’t want govt-run healthcare, wow, the Dems have no shame! They also just proved Obama was lying re illegals – Joe Wilson was right.

  20. Mel

I love the idea of Morning Joe taking a hit! I know my TV will be tuned for the first time to FBC as well as my parents who are excited to see the show again.

  21. bellalu0

Wow. All the stuff that has been lurking all around the internet since before the election, Glenn Beck is finally, finally exposing it! Grove Parc slums, etc.

He says, “New York Times, you might want to grab a pencil to take some notes. Maybe you will want to report on this.” lol.

  22. Ms. M

“die quickly”….I guess that beats killing us S-L-O-W-L-Y…………

  23. I posted this on IT expect the trolls to go bat shit crazy in response.

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/30/amazing-palins-book-number-one-on-both-amazon-and-barnes-noble-bestseller-list/

Sarah Palin’s book “Going Rogue” won’t be released till November this is unprecedented.

I wish Imus would have Sarah Palin on he would get such high ratings. If she would agree.

  24. bellalu0

That would be a winner for both of them!!

  25. Mel

Seeing lots of Imus ads on FBC, looking good! They seem proud to have him on their team as they should. I love my sleep but if he’s his old self, I’ll get up early. It’s the perfect time for him to bash all the idiots…so many idiots, so little time.

  26. bellalu0

  27. bellalu0

  28. bellalu0

I am sick of apologies to be honest.

But do you notice the hypocrisy — as usual.

Sarah Palin got crucified for mentioning death panels on her Facebook page. This idiot (from Florida — shame) has a presentation in congress!! I think he said something about the holocaust, too.

  29. Bella

It is an act of desperation and if any plan is going to cause wide spread rationing of health care for all it’s the Democrat’s proposals. So who does he think he is kidding? How many retirees are there in Florida? How many are using Medicare Prime? They are the ones who will lose it if the Democrats pass this current health insurance reform bill. I hope this guy gets replaced by a Republican next year.

  30. bellalu0

I was trying to see if he has an opponent yet. If I find who it is, I’ll post it to support him.

  31. bellalu0

Chickaboomer posted something using the words election and erection in the same sentence. Couldn’t see that without thinking of this. I tried to post it over there, but something went wrong so I’ll post it here.

A litte Imus Classic in honor or Monday!!!

  32. bellalu0

Ree, I believe they are believing their own spin. These democrats are so blatantly ignoring the people. They must have been watching too much MSNBC and CNN.

So arrogant. They will be brought down.

  33. bellalu0

    *oops “in honor of Monday”

Also there are plenty of tort lawyers and law firms that bought (name deleted – I am going to call him Dingbat so his name is not given any publicity)”

I came across your site on Twitter this morning. I was looking for a candidate running against the Grayson so I could contribute to his campaign. I want to make sure it is someone who shares OUR values (I can see that you guys think like me).

I’m over in GA. My district is working on getting rid of Sanford Bishop, he’s been around forever and he’s a blatant CROOK, LIAR, and all around SLIMBALL.

Anyway, I wanted to leave a note to tell you that I like your site. You might want to get a twitter button so you can post your updates to twitter. I just started twittering a couple of weeks ago, and it is simply amazing. Real time updates from anyone and everyone. That’s how I found you.

Good luck in your endeavor to get rid of this jerk. There are plenty of us that will donate to whoever you guys want to back. Just look how well Joe Wilson did (yes, he was uncivil, but, you could tell that the townhall meetings got to him and that he was very passionate, not staged, and the fact is BHO was lying). I was on Twitter when that outburst occurred and the 300 people that I follow immediately started donating money (from all over the US and a couple in Canada).

You can also tap into Facebook, which is how I got started on Twitter. It’s amazing how far reaching the SHARE button will get you.

Good Luck. Keep up the good work.

    • bellalu0

I have been trying to find out more about the opponents but no luck yet. If I get any contact info on them, I’ll post it.
