Obama SLAMS tea baggers – uh Americans like me

I take it personal.  He did say:  “Those of you…..”

Asked about fiscal discipline and entitlements reform, Obama seemed to be repressing a smile as he jabbed critics of his spending plans.

“Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”

I didn’t get to wave any tea bags, but I was there in spirit and surely would have, if possible, but he is talking about me, my friends, my loved ones here.  As the old saying goes, “He’s done stopped preaching and gone to meddling.”  All I know is I hope we wave a whole bunch more tea bags.

I have not said it yet, but he just became “not my president.”  I wonder if this is what he wants.  Surely he knows he is supposed to be president of all the people, whether they voted for him or not.

listening to the last part of the speech makes me wonder if it is starting to get through to thie administration? That everyone isn’t in the left’s swooning crowd? Can we hope that his advisers at least one of them are figuring out it’s dumb to alienate Americans?

The very end of the speech should have been the beginning, and the economy is what he should have been answering question on. Not left to the end when no time was left to get into specifics.

Oh lord Sally Field is on again hawking boniva sigh….that woman haunts me LOL!

    Really boring speech.

I know my little pea brain just doesn’t get it, but how does it make sense that because a few people are already infected that we should just throw up our hands and let unlimited more in. Then it could really spread. The horse is out of the barn? Well, maybe a couple, but shouldn’t we close the barn door before the rest of them get out?

My throat is getting sore. lol.

President of the United States: Wash your hands and cover your mouth. Where have I heard that before? Right, when I was about three years old or sooner.

We are a nation of babies. Makes me sick for real.

Miller says it’s a sad state of affairs when Miss USA gets tougher questions than the president. lol.

Exactly, that is what I was saying about the press and democrats degrading those who attended Tea Parties. They were insulting my daughter. Immediately after the 15th, a poll showed 25% said they knew someone who attended a Tea Party. As days passed, I guarantee many more learned that they also knew someone. As friends who made cracks on Face Book found out that my daughter was one of the people they were insulting:) The more the insults flew, the more the people being insulted, their families, their friends, neighbors, co-workers spoke up to refute the slurs. I don’t think it was wise for the President to join the group attacking people so many of us know.

  5. When Obama filled his administration with Clinton people, I expected people who knew what they were doing, would be running the Government but these people are reactive not proactive. They appear to only know how to play political games- the campaign is over, time to LEAD the country – Govern NOT Rule no matter what James Carville thinks, Free People are Governed not Ruled. These people are behaving like spoiled children not seasoned veteran public servants (stop reacting to their political rivals and get down to listening the entire population). Amateurs, the time is going to come, they are going to NEED the public’s support, all of U.S., and they will have alienated a good chunk of the population. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, this isn’t Chicago, this is the entire United States. For some reason Obama defensively stated, I am doing everything I promised to do during the campaign. 53% is not a mandate. This administration needs a WAKE UP CALL.

He makes a big mistake by repeating ad nauseum “tax reduction for 95
% of Americans.” They might as well have kept that. It amounts to next to nothing, maybe a Happy Meal. I just read where one writer discounted the tea parties because he said they were not focused and he is right they were not just about taxes. And he said they were just a “made for television” event.

He’s right, it was not only about taxes, but out of control spending and unresponsive government. And it only proves it was not some organized movement. Anybody who could have pulled that off could certainly have “focused” it properly. No, that is what ACORN does. That is what Al Sharpton does. Pay 50 or so rag tags to hold some signs in one location in front of one building somewhere in America.

This was way too widespread for that. Almost every city and town in the country held some kind of demonstration.

But if this administration and the media wants to keep on insulting a large section of the people spread out all across the country, well, just go ahead. It’s okay. We are out here working for some real change in 2010. They are going to need more than Arlen Specter, you can bet on that.

  7. This is funny tea party folks called Obama’s Bluff, okay lets talk about it GRIN. I don’t think he was expecting them to take him up on his offer. What Obama doesn’t get about Americans, could fill many, many libraries.
