Michael Steele to head Republican Party

Republicans

The Republican Party chose the first black national chairman in its history Friday, just shy of three months after the nation elected a Democrat as the first African-American president. The choice marked no less than “the dawn of a new party,” declared the new GOP chairman, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele.

Uh – who is this Rush Limbaugh that President Obama keeps talking about?

The Republicans need a new dawn. Maybe they could start by standing up to the 3 times divorced drug addict, draft dodger and single “Christian” Viagra user Rush Limbaugh.

Haha, what surprises me is that intellectual giants like Barack Obama and Paul Begala would even allow Rush Limbaugh to run through their minds.

Let’s face it, this is only going to give Rush publicity. He loves it.

But, true, the republicans do indeed need a new dawn. A third party would be even better.

  3. FYI, might want to listen to my exclusive interview with Michael Steele and comment. Thanks. JL.

And forget, please, “conservatism,” please. It will not “save” us because it has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson’s Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:

“[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth.”

Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).

    John,
Mixing politics and religion is not the solution. That is what destroyed the Republican Party and the Conservative movement. People are tired of listening to a bunch of self righteous hypocrites that tell you how you need to run your life. This is America not Iran.

Congratulations to you, Michael Steele! Have seen you on Fox and believe you are the man to bring the Republican Party back to its ethics and values. Best wishes for the future.

If those 3 republican senate members get one penny of backing I will quit this party and never donate nor vote for another republican as long as I live.

Mr. Steele, Daily in the news media I hear where the democrat administration is spending, taking over business, banks, insurance companies, firing people, and doing other things that are unconstitional, DAILY. I HEAR NOTHING from you or the Republican party. Years ago I changed from a democrat to a republican and now am about to change to yet another party. Think about this, our country will be totally ruined before the next election. The USA will never be the same.

You made an excellent point on Fox this morning.
Obama should make an announcement to put a stop to the racial tones made by Carter and Dowd regarding the Wilson comment. Rep. Wilson apolozied. Congress needs to get busy on the business of working on the health care bill.
