Jon Stewart Nails The Absurdity

Satire is a wonderful thing.  I love all the “cards” the media has so dramatically played.  And, of course, there’s the Big One, The Race Card.  But all these secondary cards the MSM have injected are quite funny:  There’s the change card, the populace card, the fear card, the Europe card, the woman as victim card, the gender card, and the class card.  [laugh out loud]. 

And the seriousness with which New York Times columnist Bob Herbert reveals to us that the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Washington Monument are phallic symbols – 

HERBERT: All right. There is an image right there in that very beginning of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and there is an image of the Washington Monument. Look at the beginning of that ad again.  And you tell me why those two phallic symbols are placed there [snaps fingers]—pow!—right at the very beginning of that ad.

Oh, no, now I am confused.  I thought all the crowds shown were in Germany, not Paris or Washington.  But, gee, pow, wow, there it is, the phallic symbol!  How could I have missed it?  Too funny.  The man should be embarrassed. 

And the two microphones as the “great black balls of Obama.”  Circled for emphasis.   [laugh out loud]  

So as Imus said,  ”Well, there you go.  Now we know.”  Oops, and there I go, sayin’ something racist.
